Nix Riversong is one of the few full-blooded elves that can be found in
Lothal, his
snow elf people having been reduced to little more than nomadic tribes long before he was born. A master of ice magic, Riversong leads the Blue Mages and was put in charge of
Lothal's budding navy. His mages are among the elite (weaker mages being placed under
Commander Tai Feng's and considered specialists in
Lothal's military. His loyalty to
Lothal is legendary, though some say he is willing to go too far for what he considers the greater good.
Helping the Kirigakure...with Persuasion
Commander Riversong was present during the
Dragon Turtle migration, commanding
Lothal's navy as it battled the sea monsters.
Chigiri requested the Navy's aid in rescuing his people from
Levira's attack, which Riversong refused to provide.
Commander Truestrike disagreed with Riversong's assessment and assisted
the Headhunters with strong-arming Riversong into helping. Riversong personally oversaw the evacuation, pulling the villagers from the sea and leading his navy to kill a great many dragon turtles. This slaughter ultimately convinced the dragon turtles it was time to leave
Lothal's.
The navy brought the rescued villagers back to the mainland, speaking with their @Mizukage and learning about their people along the way. People began to assume the rescue was Riversong's idea and he was happy to take credit. This led to him assisting with finding the Kirigakure villagers a new place to live after
Commander Truestrike implied she would reveal the truth if he didn't. He then returned to the capital to give
King Paul Shapechanger a full report on the Dragon Turtle Migration.
