Sir Hunter von Huntington V
"The name is Huntington. Sir Hunter von Huntington, The Fifth. Esquire."
-Huntington's standard introduction, typically given as he smokes a cigar.
The original Sir Hunter von Huntington was a founding member of the Adventurer's Guild and his great-great-grandson is proud to carry on the family tradition. Huntington heads up the guild branch located in the capital city of Nerograd, managing the guild's finances along with local personnel. When time allows, he enjoys polishing his skill as the "world's greatest huntsman" (or so he claims). The quarry he seeks most of all is the legendary Glimmerhawk, who once nearly made a meal of him before a timely rescue by Nergalee. Despite his friendly demeanor, the Platinum-ranked adventurer is one of the most mature and hardened members of the Adventurer's Guild.

An Adventure with the Headhunters
The Headhunters first met Huntington when Nergalee sent them to Nerograd following a sighting of Levira. He told the group that Cordelia and Mira had already gone after her despite his insistence that they wait for backup. Huntington joined his fellow adventurers in the hunt for Levira, chartering a ship that their party took to the northern islands. These plans (and the ship) quickly went off-course when they were attacked by a dragon turtle at sea. When they managed to get the dragon turtle to break away, Huntington ordered them to get to the island while he tried to save the ship from smashing on the rocks.
He was successful in this endeavor, but it attracted the attention of the Morlocks who realized he was alone. Seeing a chance to knock off a Platinum-ranked adventurer, Moltor and Nadira attacked Huntington with a swarm of Molders supporting them. The Headhunters learned of the attack via Artie's familiar and rushed back to reinforce him after a near-encounter with Levira. They arrived just in time to bring him some much-needed support, narrowly succeeding in destroying the Molders and forcing Moltor and Nadira to retreat.
Unfortunately, Mira chose this moment to reveal herself as a traitor by stabbing the weakened Huntington through the heart and lopping off his head. Artie was quick enough to grab Huntington's body and dive into the sea, preventing Mira from destroying the cadaver to stop a potential resurrection. When the group returned to Guildhall, Nergalee was able to restore Huntington's life with a reincarnation spell, which had the side effect of turning the dwarf huntsman into a gnome. It was decided to keep his death a secret to preserve guild morale and his new stature was close enough to his old one to make this a simple task.
Service Against the Morlocks
When Nergalee declared that the use of Gravestones was banned by the Guild, Huntington was put in charge of ensuring all guild members complied. The collected stones were gathered up and placed under lock and key in his keep. During this time, he advised the Headhunters to seek out a mysterious woman he'd heard rumors of when the Grave Orb in Chigiri's possession began to get out of hand.
When Eko betrayed the Headhunters and ran after breaking guild law, Huntington was the one who tracked him down. The ancestral hatred between gnomes and kobolds caused Huntington to go a bit overboard with the execution when Eko refused to surrender. The Headhunters next saw him at the main guildhall when news of the Gravecannon reached them and noted he was wearing a pair of gloves the same color as Eko's scales. Though he never discussed it openly, part of Huntington was horrified that another piece of him was fine with these actions and what his being a gnome meant for his mind and soul.
Huntington led a large group of adventurers using ranged weapons in the Battle of the Giantsheel Mountains, focusing on stemming the tide of incoming monsters in a mountain pass choke point. When Nergalee arrived, she coordinated the frontline alongside Huntington and their groups held back the enemy's main forces while a side party flanked the enemy to stop the Gravecannon. He then returned to Inkhear with the rest of the adventurers before heading back home to recover and take a little R&R by continuing his investigation into the whereabouts of the Glimmerhawk.
