Arch Mage Balthazar Son of Gelt (Half elf, Male, 66, Evoker) is a man ready for a fight, he knows that to strike first is to strike last, a lesson he learned when serving in the great war. Several years after the war when the Son of Gelt climbed the ranks to join the council of the Arch Magi is when he transformed the Evokers into the organized mercenary fighting force of present day. The chaos he witnessed caused by an undisciplined company of Evokers inspired him to drill his War Mages as any general would do. His versatility on the battlefield is a sight to behold and he never lacks firepower, he relishes in the jolting carnage caused by a forked lightning bolt, he bathes in warmth of his fireballs; he truly enjoys destruction. He leads the spell slingers of the Evokers much like a military organization, he expects discipline with the pen as much as on the field. He is surprisingly soft spoken, he prefers to inspire respect rather than fear in his men by often joining them for meals at the mess hall or by killing beside them on the battlefield. He is hard headed but relies on his good intuition which has always served him well. The elven blood is thin within Balthazar, his elf parentage was 2 generations back, he resembles a human much more than a half elf.
