The Dark Elves of Svartalfheim

Born in a realm that bares little life outside of the planets created by the Alldark tree. The Dark Elves had to adopt a more chaotic use of magic in order to survive. Always hating their Light counterparts the Dark Elves started an invasion of Alfheim. During this invasion, the Alldark tree was destroyed and now Svartalfheim will only have a few years of life before all traces of life there will cease to exist. Fearing for his people Prince Malekith formed an allegiance with Loki in the hopes that during Ragnarok the Dark Elves can find a new home in Alfheim.
