Wendy Pearson
Zenxon's Favorite Actress

You can't run from your past Godfrey. Trust me, I've tried.
Wendy Pearson was born in Zenxon in 1902. Having grow up in poverty, Pearson developed a cynical and snarky attitude, especially toward those in wealth and power. Her sharp personality, however, garnered her favor in the world of theater.
At age 16, Wendy auditioned for a minor role in the premiere of a stage production about the Dream Eater myth from The Death Witch, a decision which she later attributed to her frankness. She was cast instead, in the star role of Bella. This role began Pearson's career, leading her to be one of Zenxon's most famous stage actors.
Over the next couple of yeas, Pearson actively tried to change her personality. At meet-and-greets, she would speak more passively, and she tried not to talk openly about her family background, believing that members of the theater world would be more inclined to shun her if they knew about her past. But at age 25, her roles started to dry up. Finally, one producer told her that they felt she had lost her fire. In response, Pearson brought an interviewer to her childhood home and, for the first time, spoke at length of her background. The story was so beloved by audiences that Pearson once again rocketed to stardom.
In the following years, she became famous not only to actors and producers for being unapologetic, but also to audiences. Pearson continues to act and now champions socio-political reforms to bring equity to neighborhoods in poverty and funded a program for young people to find safe spaces and pursue goals within theater.
