Physical Description
Seluna is conjoined at the hip, buttocks, and shoulder with each having their own pair of organs, and limbs.
Selene and Luna have identical faces, though Luna has more downturned eyes, and Selene has wider eyes than her sister. They both have strong jawlines with a diamond face shape, protruding chins, and a pointed, long nose. As mortals who were half elves in life, they both have pointed ears.
They both wear facepaint and makeup. Luna has black, lacy patterns with purple and red eyeshadow and black lipstick on her upper lip, and a stripe of black lipstick on her lower lip. Selene has gold and white swirls covering the upper half of her face, and she wears orange-gold eyeshadow with purple eyeliner. She also has white eyelashes and a black vertical stripe of lipstick on her lips.
Mental characteristics
Born on a double full moon to a doctor and an archmage in a small village, Selene and Luna had beaten incredible odds to be born- in no small part due to their mother's own medical knowledge. While their birth as conjoined twins caught their parents off guard, they quickly grew on their parents and the two became beloved children to their mother and father. As their father was important to the village, he used his influence to make sure his children were treated as normally as they could be. Even if they would be bullied or teased by other children around them, Selene and Luna would always be reminded by their mother that they were her sun and her moon, for as long as they existed, they would always be loved and their warmth and love would mean everything to those around them. This phrase was carried in their thoughts and hearts by the twins, and they were motivated to live up to it and make their parents proud.
When the world began to fall apart, their village was struck hard by the catastrophes of the apocalypse. But then came the message from Meridis- one of hope that could guarantee a brighter future. Hearing this message, Selene and Luna knew what to do. With the training in elementalism and hemomancy from their parents, the twins set their minds on making the journey to become powerful enough to save the world. Their parents at first tried to stop them, thinking they were too young and possibly too frail for the journey. But the twins talked out their plans with their parents, telling their parents that they want to provide the hope and warmth to the world as their parents did to them. That they couldn't sit by and watch the world end, and watch their parents lives fade out with it. The twins' parents resigned to letting them go, knowing that Selene and Luna couldn't be stopped from going out to try to save the world. So instead, their parents helped the twins prepare for the journey ahead and helped them brush up on their magic skill.
When they were sure they were ready, the twins said goodby to their parents and promised to give them a sign that they were okay when they could, and set out on their journey. It was as harsh of a journey as Meridis had said it was, but with the two of them helping each other out, and with the extra training from their parents- Selene and Luna slowly progressed their way to their goal and then figured out the ritual. Upon Ascension, the two met and decided to work with
Timothea in maintaining the flow of time. Specifically, they donned the title of the twin goddesses of night and day, as a homage to the warm words their mother would give them in comfort. They would then visit their parents yearly for the rest of their parents' lifetimes. And once they had passed away, Seluna gained permission from
Dhakors to continue their yearly trips to visit their parents in the afterlife to update them on everything that has gone on and spend time with them
They received basic homeschooling from their parents up until they decided to leave home. In addition, their mother had taught them hemomancy, and their father had taught them elementalism.
Personality Characteristics
They wish to keep the world stable and safe, for the sake of everyone living in the world. This stems from their childhood and how they chose to ascend to protect their parents and friends from the world ending.
Both of the twins are sweethearts with warm hearts and strong wills. Luna likes to take action, using her knowledge and wisdom to solve problems with swiftness. She is always willing to learn something new, and takes wonder at many things she learns.
Meanwhile Selene is idyllic with a lot of energy and force in her actions. She is very perceptive and may notice things her sister may not. Selene also has a soft spot and fondness for all living things.
Even though they are very close to each other, Seluna can be competitive between the two and they may sometimes try to outdo each other. Luna can sometimes get too lost in thought or too focused on a puzzle to see the bigger picture. While Selene can be slow and lazy in spite of her energy, as she likes to take it easy.
The two like to hold each other's hand when scared or worried.
