"Furious" George Gronkowski
George Gronkowski is a grizzled combat veteran from the 4th Corporate War.
He's a bit gruff and grizzled from his time in the war and where he lost a lot of friends. So it's not surprising that he tends to keep people at arms length. Most people's first impression of the burly bruiser is just that - a thug with a barely functioning neural processor but those who get to know the brute learn the truth; he's far more of a thinker than first impressions suggest. George's combat experience has made him an effective killer but also made him a pragmatist with a keen eye for strategic planning.
Gronkowski grew up a street-rat during the height of the corporate war; as a warren rat he's never really known traditional 'family' - he has no idea who his parents were but that doesn't really bother him too much. He takes a long time to warm up to people, but once he does - when he really trusts them - they find they have a bond that lasts a lifetime.
Much of the Cyberware he was required to install during the war was reclaimed by Militech when he was discharged. He's replaced it with consumer-grade equivalents but it's left him with some stability issues. All that time in combat, the drugs they had him on, and the down-grade of his Cyberware has left him with one hell of a mean streak. George has managed to temper this through the sport of boxing which gives him a healthy exhaust system for the PTSD and drug fueled rage boiling just under the skin.
Unfortunately, the pro-circuit wasn't for him. He tried it, but found the rules far too restrictive and not a pure enough of a combat high to mellow him out. It doesn't much help that he beat a man to death in the ring; the young up-and-comer's smart-assed mouth slighted George and he lost control of the anger for a moment too long. That kid's manager pulled every string he had to get the heaviest fines levied against George and had his reputation ruined in the league. George never fought, officially, again.
Nowadays, George want to put together a bare-knuckle brawling league, both to give him an outlet for his own fury and maybe help veterans like yourself who just need that outlet to help keep them this side of cyberpsyscho.
He's spent the last couple years been jumping job to job while he tries to work out how to get this boxing league started - most recently he's been working for the Mox in Kabuki as a bouncer at Lizzie's Bar keeping unwanted patrons, and Tyger Claw thugs, off the case of the owners. It's simple work, but it pays decent enough for what it is - plus it gives him plenty of opportunity to knock Tyger skulls on the clock without too many people looking at him odd. It's been working, but it's not enough.
