Fort Dún
Fort Dún was a construction project by The Realm near the borders of The Principality of Al-Tiba.
The Realm's official reason for the construction of the fortress was to defend the western reaches of the Mernite Provinces from bandit raids and attacks, as well as to protect the ongoing construction of the Mernite Highway from Mernar.
Unofficially, however, many suspected that the fortress was to be used as a launching off point of a possible land invasion of The Principality of Al-Tiba.
The argument became moot with the re-foundation of The Holy Mernite Sovereignty, which took over the fortress project from The Realm. Since then it has never been fully completed, left as 3/4ths of a fortress on the border of a mostly friendly nation.
It is often used as a punishment post for the Mernite military.
