Duhag Loran
The last city of the Dwarven in Efaanu, Duhag Loran is a well known but hard to reach Dwarven city hidden amongst the crags and canyons of the southern Dwan Mountains.
The Dwarves of Duhag Loran has mostly stayed out of the affairs of greater Efaanu. The main exception to this would be the so called War of Rectification, where the Dwarves of Duhag Loran, the Centaurs and Minotaur's of Wurinzama, and some rebelling Human lords tried to kill the Mage-King Carlegn. The war was disastrous for the Dwarves of Duhag Loran and has only enforced their self-imposed isolation from the politics of the other races and nations of Efaanu.
The Dwarves of Duhag Loran are well known to be experts in the Arcane, especially in the Transmutation, Divination, and Conjuration schools. Their Magi are well known for their impressive magical abilities and are responsible for the construction and maintenance of the seemingly physically impossible Duhag Loran itself.
Due to being extremely hard to reach, let alone for extended periods of time, Duhag Loran has gone unconquered by all but the ancient Atkorian Empire. Those that want to conquer the Dwarven city must first march a city high and deep into the Dwan Mountains, then find the hard-to-find city, and then breach its impressive arcane defenses; the whole time the army would be harried by stone golems appearing out of seemingly random rock attacking their troops, sudden and unpredictable floods and snow storms, not even mentioning the hardy and professional soldiers of the city.
The Dwarves of Duhag Loran worship a trio of Dwarven gods called "The Triumvirate." The Triumvirate includes what they call "The Arcanoclad," who gave the Dwarves the gift of magic and their intellects, "The Firebond," who gave the Dwarves the spark of life and the sun, and "The Mother" which gave the Dwarves the World to live on. This worship has gained them the scrutiny of The Realm due to not being a worship of the Elements. The hard to conquer nature of Duhag Loran has led to little action however, other than a disdain and sometimes outright racism against the Dwarves in Efaanu.
