Faeane Galarturie

Faeane Galarturie is the unknowable a borderline incomprehensible realm of the Fae of Efaanu.
A massive forest geographically, with a border that is hundreds upon hundreds of miles long, Faeane Galarturie (often shortened to "The Fae Forest", or Fae Galar) has been the subject of both philosophical and magical curiosity for thousands of years. Little is actually known about Faeane Galarturie.
It is said to be the original home of all fae, and the Elves of Palnoré claim descendance from Fae of Faeane Galarturie, but anyone who tries to actually explore the massive forest usually has a less than stellar time amid its woods. The lucky ones often describe impossible directions with the forest seemingly going on in endless loops, strange visions and creatures that sometimes attack them, trees that seem to hum, and this doesn't even include the infamous fairies and other fae creatures. The unlucky ones often go insane or never return at all. This has been true even in the days of the Atkorian Empire, the most powerful empire in world history.
Those that live on the edges of Fae Galar know to give the forest a wide berth, and advise all passers by to do the same.

Fauna & Flora

Those that have returned from their voyages into the forest speak of strange ethereal creatures, trees that move, plants that sing, colors that have smell, and more besides. But with no concerted (successful) effort to categorize or understand the forest most can only speculate as to what dwells within.
