Mantle Militant

The Mantle Militant is the military arm of the Church of the Mantle. Unlike Paladin Orders which are often philosophically aligned with the Church but separate the Mantle Militant are under the direct command of the High Priests of the Church.
They mostly serve as protection for important priests or during important events, but the more unscrupulous priest can and has used them as private muscle.
The Militant is based out of the Mantle Tower in Balmoth, a keep that was added onto the Basilica Maxima, the home of the Church of the Mantle.
The Mantle Militant has seen its reputation fall in recent decades due to the Mantle Reformation and events leading up to it, and after it, which saw the Mantle Militant often persecuting rogue priests and followers of the Supragens Movement, often violently.

Structure

The Mantle Militant are generally organized in a military-like structure, led by the Knight Commander at the very top.
