In Kalin
It is thought in Kalin that Before the Great War in the First Age a group of mortals sold their souls to the incoming demons and aided them in their invasion of Kalin. These mortals would become the demonic Tieflings. During the Great War itself a Tiefling named Jabhir the Redeemed led a rebellion from within Demon lines to redeem his race from the actions of their ancestors. This stories truth has come under historic scrutiny in the common day, and it is now thought that Tiefling's came with the demons themselves, though debate is fierce and ultimately academic.
Many Tieflings travel with small groups of their own race in "Caravans"; these Caravans aren’t part of one nation and wander across factional territory on a normal basis. These Caravans are normally seen as a nuisance when they get too close to large cities or settlements by local police and military. They are often discriminated against as criminals or lowlifes, even if there is not truth to this bigotry. Those that aren't part of a Tiefling Caravan will make their own lives across the continent.
In Efaanu
Once referred to Frant Carlegn as "those that straddle the line of demonic and angelic." Tiefling's originally began to show up in Efaanu as refugees from some unknown disaster during the interregnum after the fall of the Atkorian Imperium. Their demonic and hellish complexions won them no friends, as many assumed them to be demons.
They settled in what is now
Lethennor briefly, but were soon stricken with a strange sickness that made large amounts of them go mad with what they called "a calling" or a "loss of self" that drove them to attack people randomly.
This disease began to spread, and people began to further exile and mistrust the Tieflings until they were nearing extinction. Before being totally driven to extinction a Tiefling named Jabhir the Redeemed found a cure for the condition involving using large amounts of radiant energies to "redeem" the Tiefling. This changed their skin usually to a pale color and gave them glowing golden eyes. After this Jabhir led his followers "away" to an unknown hideout in Efaanu, where they supposedly still dwell today.
Tiefling's today usually fall into one of two groups. Those of the Redeemed, descendants Tieflings who followed Jabhir on his final exodus, and those of the Settlers, descendants of the "redeemed" Tieflings who did not follow Jabhir on his exodus.
Those of The Redeemed usually show up out of nowhere wearing strange clothes and equipment, and don't engage much with Efaanu as a whole. Presumably they are reporting back to wherever their hide out is, but no one knows for certain.
Meanwhile The Settlers are found throughout Efaanu, their pale skin, horns, and tails distinguishing them from the other races of Efaanu. Most of the mistrust of the race has fallen off over the generations, but Tieflings are still seen as distinctly odd by those not used to seeing them.
In Wahar
Tieflings can, according to travelers, be found naturally in Wahar. Whether these are from Kalin or Efaanu is unclear, though they seem to possess a more Demonic/Kalin appearance according to the tales told.
In Archin
Tieflings can be found in Archin according to travelers, mostly in small extremely segregated enclaves. It is remarked by travelers to Kalin that Tieflings seem to enjoy "far more rights" than they would normally have in Archin.
