Kade was born to Kai & Skylor about a year after his cousin Asher's birth. Always a headstrong child, he would frequently try dangerous stunts in an attempt to live up to his father's larger than life stories. Although he idolized Kai, he was affectionately called a mama's boy due to his close relationship with Skylor. He and Asher often acted more like siblings than cousins, and Kade loved spending time with his Aunt Nya.
Kade's occasional angry outbursts turned into an actual problem when he realized he didn't have powers like his teammates. Jealousy consumed him,  lashing out at everyone - especially Zara, as he believed she should appreciate the opportunity given to her. His relationship with his parents became strained as they struggled to encourage him that he could fight without an element, while behind the scenes trying to figure out if there was a way to grant him their abilities. Kade instead, grew bitter towards them, believing that they were refusing to help him channel what powers he could have, because they thought he was too volatile. Despite his clear difficulty managing his anger and jealousy, he still would do anything to protect those he loves. Even if that means charging headlong into battle with nothing but his fists.
