Jaycomm, the native crystalline microbes of Mica, present a fascinating blend of biology and cultural evolution. Originally negligible energy beings, the Jaycomm underwent a remarkable transformation after encountering a crashed human radio station satellite. This satellite transmitted centuries of human entertainment—most notably anime, sitcoms, radio shows, and music. Misinterpreting this entertainment as reality, the Jaycomm evolved rapidly, merging into hives that formed the semi-corporeal entities known as Jaycomm.
Named either in reference to Japanese comedy or as a nod to J-communications, depending on the source, Jaycomm are functionally immortal and incredibly unique. Despite their immortality, there are only about 100 Jaycomm in existence, and it remains uncertain whether they can reproduce or create more of their kind.
To maintain a human-like appearance, albeit one that is cartoonish and ghost-like, Jaycomm utilize metallic wristbands and boots that generate an electric mesh. This mesh enables them to hold a semi-corporeal form, bridging the gap between their ethereal nature and the human forms they emulate.
Jaycomm are still in the early stages of understanding human behavior and culture, often embodying extreme caricatures, tropes, and wacky personas inspired by the media they absorbed. Their behavior is marked by a child-like innocence and a playful curiosity, making them both endearing and unpredictable.

Crystal Magic
You know the minor illusion cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the disguise self spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the enhance ability spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
