Telia

Telias are a fascinating species, evolved from tortoises and possessing exceptional control over their memories. Their scaly shells change color and pattern based on their experiences, with each scute acting as a physical record of their past. Older telias have scrambled markings on their scutes, evidence of a species wide memory gap in their memories.
These creatures have a genial and relaxed disposition, practicing forgiveness and avoiding blame. Storytelling is central to telia society, and they have a deep appreciation for the spoken word over written language. Telias are curious and love to travel, exploring the galaxy and sharing their stories with others.
Originally from the planet Evonia, Telias were among the first of their world to build Drift engines. However, the end of the Telia Gap was disorienting for them, and it took them decades to send out a delegation to explore beyond their world. Since then, they have fallen in love with the diversity of the galaxy and regularly make trips to the Pact system and Veskarium. With an average height of 4-1/2 feet and weight of 200 pounds, telias are an impressive and fascinating species.
