This plague only affected Dragonborn and Dragons but nonetheless left a big mark on the global population. Before the Dragon Scourge the Dragonborn were the second largest population group. The epidemic had an epicenter in the Eridani River region where the largest amount of Dragons and Dragonborn lived. At the end of the Scourge only few survived and only the most isolated settlements managed to remain healthy. On Farlis the oasis of Adroon became the sanctuary for the most remaining Dragonborn in central Farlis. Years later Dragonborn of the southern part of the Volker desert joined human desert tribes that had settled in the Eridani River region.   It also had an impact on the Avaronian Empire as they were forced to use a large portion of their military and funds to combat the feral Dragons.
