Codex of Gods, Goddesses, and Godx
"And in the midst of the Divine War,
The Great Schism rumbled,
And the ground split,
And the skies broiled,
And the sea was beset with great tremors,
And in the end there was no more Divinity,
Only the Followers, who then became the Saints..."

According to the main religion of Niria, the evil "gods" are not really gods at all but rather powerful demons, and should not be prayed to. However, clerics, paladins, warlocks, and characters of an evil alignment can pray to them for power just like any other deity. Doing so is not uncommon, considering all the other gods are theoretically dead. Praying to an evil-aligned deity is considered the first step in a very slippery slope, and such apostasy is usually dealt with swiftly and mercilessly.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
