Six months into the first year of the new era, Rimmen, a small kingdom in the Province of Elsweyr declares its independence from the Empire. The Eleventh Legion is sent to put down this first test of the post-dynastic Empire.
  Discipline breaks down. The siege devolves into a massacre just as brutal as any the Daedra had inflicted just a year before. The carnage is halted by Potentate Ocato who summarily dismisses the Eleventh Legion and surrenders the territory without condition.
