The Summerset Gambit

Spurned on by the increasing popularity of the nationalist Thalmor faction, the surviving royals of Summerset, leaderless, vote to secede from the Empire. This time, the rebellion is met by a thirteen day Imperial blockade of the isles. This standoff ends when Potentate Ocato, himself a native of the Isles, steps in.
  After twenty hours, a secret deal is struck. The High Elves are granted their independence. However, Queen Morgiah, a Dark Elf friendly to the Empire, is unexpectedly crowned the new Altarch the very same day.
