Evelyn tries to abort her and Fenneck's child but Mephistopheles comes to her in rage. Corellon pulls her soul and the child's into Arvandor, killing her body in the process to save her from her torturous existence from the plaguing of Mephistopheles. She meets her son Fendir and Corellon says that because of her early, tragic demise he is going to send her soul back and promises that she'll be safe this time and she'll even see Fenneck and Jasna again and that Fendir will come back to her when the time is right.

Evelyn morphed back into herself behind a longhouse once she was in the Vallee. She pulled her cloak around her shoulder and wiped her face of the rest of her tears. She had to focus. She had to stay in control. She focused and made her face change and her hair turned dark as she disguised herself. She continued through the Vallee, looking for the cleric she'd heard about. "Go back home!" the dark voice inside her head started screaming at her as she approached the longhouse, but she shoved him down. She was taking control of her life whether he liked it or not. The little boy inside her squirmed in fear and she rubbed her belly. "I'm sorry," she told him woefully. "I really am, but trust me. You don't want any part of this life." Her son kicked her gently and she felt him send a comforting energy through her. "I wish I could run away with your father but... he'll follow us," she told the boy. "I can't risk him hurting you or Fenneck. I'm too scared and too young for this," she told him. The little elf inside her understood, which somehow made it all the more painful as Evelyn prepared herself for what she had to do.   She looked around hesitantly before knocking on the door. She heard shuffling inside and a woman opened the door. She was a wood-elf with a sweet looking face, brown hair and warm eyes. "Hi," she said in confusion. "How... how can I help you?" she asked. Evelyn looked around cautiously. "I... I need help," she told the woman. "I heard a rumor that... that you can help women in... difficult situations," she said cautiously. The woman looked her over cautiously. "Show me your true self then," she said, seeing through Evelyn's disguise. "I will if I can come inside," Evelyn told her. The woman nodded cautiously and let her in. The house was nice and warm and Evelyn saw a male wood-elf with bright red hair and green eyes sitting at the table. He looked up at his wife, a bit startled by Evelyn. The woman closed the door and looked at Evelyn expectantly. Evelyn turned to her, fearful of whether or not she could trust these people.   "LEAVE!" the voice inside her shouted, appearing in a dark shadow across the room. Evelyn felt the baby squirm fearfully inside her and she lurched over and threw up onto the ground as her head started to pound in pain. "Are you okay?! What's your name, dear?" the woman asked her before gently touching her shoulder. Evelyn felt a wave of magic course through her like Fenneck had done before and she looked at the woman desperately.   "I... I can't tell you who I am," she told her. "Trust me. It's for your own safety." The woman nodded understandingly. "Very well," she said. "You're pregnant?" she asked her. Evelyn nodded. "Yes," she said. "It was an affair and if I get found out the father will be killed for it," she explained. "We didn't think it would happen because we were so young," she told the woman sadly. The woman nodded and gently caressed her head, sending another wave of warm healing magic through Evelyn. "Here," Evelyn told her, handing her a bag of gold. The woman looked inside and her eyes widened in fear. "Is that enough?" Evelyn asked her, unsure of how this sort of thing worked. The woman nodded. "Yes," she said. "It's... plenty. I'll be right back," she told Evelyn as she walked into a room.   Evelyn avoided the other elf's eyes as she waited, trying to push the voices out of her head. Finally the woman returned with a small vile. "Here," she said. "Take this. It will hurt," she warned her. "There will be a lot of blood and you need to rest afterwards." Evelyn nodded. "Thank you so much," she told the woman gratefully. "I... I'm sorry to bother you so late," she apologized. The woman shook her head and pulled Evelyn into a warm embrace, prompting Evelyn to start crying into her shoulder. The woman soothed her and caressed her hair lovingly. "It's gonna be okay," she told Evelyn sweetly. "It's gonna be okay. You did nothing wrong." Evelyn cried into her shoulder for a while, greatful for the woman's kindness. "Thank you," she told her again as she pulled away, wiping the tears from her eyes. The woman looked at her kindly and gently caressed her face. "Of course dear. Be careful and good luck," she told her. "If you ever need anything, I'm here." Evelyn smiled at her. "Thank you," she said again. "I'll let you both get some rest. Sorry about that," she said meekly, gesturing to the vomit on the ground and waving her hand at it, cleaning it magically. The woman gave her a smile. "Of course, dear. Be safe."   Evelyn quickly left the longhouse and walked into a shadow and teleported into her room in the palace. She felt the shadows start to loom around her and she knew he was coming. She quickly downed the vile and took a deep breath before he appeared before her in a cloud of red smoke above her bed, flapping his giant black wings in anger. "How dare you!?" Mephistopheles asked her angrily as he walked toward her. Evelyn suddenly felt her insides start to burn as her son faded away and she collapsed to the ground in pain. "He loved you!" Mephistopheles exclaimed in anger as Evelyn felt blood start to pour out of her, causing a searing pain. "I want my life back!" Evelyn exclaimed to the devil as tears started to run down her face. "I don't want anything to do with you!" she sobbed. Mephistopheles snarled at her. "I gave you the child, you ungrateful whore!" he told her. "I gave you this gift from the elf you loved and this is how you repay me?!" he asked her in anger as a bolt of pain ripped through Evelyn as her blood spilled out onto the carpet. "I didn't want this!" she told him. "Fenneck and I were happy until you came along!" He leaned down into her face. "I can offer you everything," he told her. "You can become the most powerful sorcerer in the land! Yet you're content with your silly spell books and your secret lover?!" he asked her. "You can use my power to overthrow your parents and make him your prince. You could have had this child with him, you stupid girl!" She glared at him. "I want you to leave!" she screamed at him. "I hate you and everything you've done to me! I want no part of this!" Mephistopheles reached down and grabbed a handful of her hair and looked deep into her eyes. "Is that your final answer?!" he asked her. She spat in his face, too angry and in too much pain to care anymore. "I'd rather die!" she told him. "Very well," he said. "You've expended your use to me, you pathetic elf," he told her as he threw back her hair and walked across the room. "Your actions will cost you greatly," he assured her as he stared deep into her eyes with his cold silver glare. Evelyn felt a painful jolt ripple through her body and she screamed out in pain before collapsing on the ground as everything slowly started to fade away.   She finally opened her eyes to find herself on a marble floor. She sat up and looked around at the beautiful room she was in. The ceiling was illuminated with a beautiful sky full of magical stars and galaxies, in the center of which hung a beautiful bright, eight-sided star in the heart of a crescent moon. The room was a tower room with beautiful windows that opened out into a beautiful blue sky and green forests. All throughout the room were beautiful flowering vines and in front of her was a large beechwood throne upon which sat the elven god Corellon Larethian. He was nearly eight feet tall with long beautiful flowing locks of golden hair and he had the most elegant, regal face she'd ever seen. He had sparkly blue eyes and wore beautiful armor of pale sky-blue and bright, soft yellows. A radiant glow enveloped him as he stood up and walked to her.   "I... I'm so sorry," she told him fearfully. She felt a wave of peace come over her and she looked over to see a small elven child sitting on the floor next to her. He looked like Fenneck but he had her golden hair. He smiled sweetly to her and she knew it was their son. She turned back to Corellon who was looking her over thoughtfully. "I'm so sorry, my dear," he told her. "Mephistopheles has no business in Elven affairs," he said angrily. "I'll forgo your punishment. You've been through enough in your tragically short life," he told her. "I'll make sure your next life is safer. By the time you and your siblings were born it was too late for me to stop him. He had already laid claim to your blood," he explained. "Don't worry, my dear. You'll be safe this time. You'll even see Fenneck and your sister again," he promised her. "As for your son... he'll wait till you're ready, don't worry about him. Not that you'll remember any of this," he told her.   She looked over at the child who smiled at her. "What's... what's your name?" she asked him sadly, realizing she hadn't given him one. The child shrugged and looked up at Corellon who looked back at Evelyn. "Don't worry," he told her. "You'll meet him again. In the meantime, he'll play here in the fields of Arvandor," he assured her. Evelyn looked up at Corellon and nodded. "Okay," she said, trusting the magnificent elf. "But now it's time for you to return home. You may tell him goodbye, if you'd like," he told her, gesturing to the small child. Evelyn nodded and the child ran into her arms. "It's okay, mama," he assured her. "I'll see you again one day," he said before kissing her on the cheek. She squeezed him tightly. "I'm so sorry! I didn't want to hurt you," she told the boy. He nodded peacefully. "I know!" he told her. "Corellon says that I left too soon anyway. He didn't want me to leave yet," he assured Evelyn. Evelyn smiled at the child as she looked into his perfect face. "You look just like your father," she told him. He nodded. "I like him. Can I be named after him when I go back?" he asked her and Corellon innocently. Corellon smiled and nodded. "Of course, Fendir," he assured the boy. The boy's face lit up excitedly at his new name and he hugged Evelyn again. "Goodbye, Mama!" he told her before walking over to Corellon and taking his hand. Evelyn smiled at them. "Goodbye, Fendir," she told her son as everything faded away again.
