Kyojuro is a young adult of tall stature and lean-muscular build.
Facial Features
He has long bright yellow hair with red streaks akin to flames along with two shoulder-length bangs and two chin-length bangs on the side of his head, black forked eyebrows, and golden eyes that fade to red with white pupils.

Special abilities
Overall Abilities: As a Guild Captian of the Monster Hunter Guild, Kyojuro is a very powerful and skilled combatant. Before he took his father's place, Kyojuro was already shown to be an amazing fighter. Moreover, his father, Shinjuro Rengoku, stated that, after he stopped teaching his son, Kyojuro trained himself to become a Hashira by learning from the guide book of the Flame Breathing style, a book which only had three volumes. As another testament to his abilities, Akaza, a Veteran Hunter in a guild and a very powerful demon, once acknowledged and praised Kyojuro's strength. He even went as far as to offer to turn him into a demon so he could surpass his human limits and become stronger, something he only offered to swordsmen whose abilities he believed were refined to their utmost. Akaza also complimented his fighting spirit and stated that it was getting close to the "Realm of the Highest," which implied that he is incredibly close to obtaining the Transparent World and the Selfless State.
Extrasensory Perception: Kyojuro has incredibly honed senses, such as when he is able to sense and perceive Akaza's immense presence and demon aura. Kyojuro is also capable of sensing demonic presences faster and more accurately than Tanjiro Kamado, who harbors an acute sense of smell. This ability also allows him to precisely gauge the regenerative abilities and weaknesses of most Demons and Monsters. Kyojuro is also able to perceive Tanjiro's injuries and torn blood vessel accurately, which allows him to teach him how to plug up that wound and prevent him from dying of blood loss. Furthermore, he was able to detect malice in Enmu's spells and prevented himself from getting incapacitated.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: As a Hashira, Kyojuro posses tremendous speed and reflexes. Kyojuro can even cause tremors to the ground and nearly launch a horse off its hoofs by running at such high speeds. Moreover, Kyojuro can easily move at speeds much faster than the eye can see, decapitating Monsters before they can even react. Kyojuro also manages to keep up with Akaza's high-speed techniques and incredibly swift movements, which he remarks is faster than the blink of an eye, sometimes even managing to out-speed him. This surprised and impressed Akaza himself, who openly expressed his amazement over.
Immense Stamina & Endurance: Kyojuro displays superhuman stamina and endurance during his battles. Lastly, he managed to keep up with Akaza, one of the strongest Demons in existence despite physically and mentally exert himself beyond his limit. Despite all of his wounds and injuries, he never once flinched or showed signs of pain or agony.
Immense Strength: Having spent years perfecting his physical prowess, Kyojuro possess amazing physical strength, being capable of swinging his katana at speeds faster than the eye can see incessantly with faultless accuracy while engaging in combat. Kyojuro also possess exceptional grip strength that enabled him to hold down Akaza, one of the physically strongest Monster Hunters.
Indomitable Will: Kyojuro has an undaunted spirit and indomitable willpower, which even impressed Akaza. Ever since he was a child, he had inculcated indomitable will and passion in himself due to his promise to his late mother.
Keen Intellect: As a swordsman who came from a lineage of Flame Hashira, Kyojuro has access to generations of combat knowledge and tactics as well as training from previous Flame Hashira, like his father, Shinjuro Rengoku. Kyojuro could also master the entire Flame Breathing style just from reading 3 volumes of a book on it. He also possess great knowledge in the use of the Total Concentration Breathing, knowing how to plug minor wounds and hemorrhaging and saved Tanjiro from dying of blood loss. As another testament to his tactical intellect, Kyojuro can instantly read his allies' sign language.
Master Swordsman: As a Hashira of the Monster Hunter, Kyojuro is one of the most powerful and skilled swordsmen in the entire organization. Additionally, Kyojuro is part of the Rengoku family which has an impressive lineage of powerful swordsmen and Flame Hashira, giving Kyojuro an edge in developing and polishing his swordsmanship. His extraordinary swordsmanship skill has been displayed on multiple occasions.
Flame Breathing: A Breathing Style taught to Kyojuro by the previous Flame Hashira, Shinjuro Rengoku, and later mastered by reading the instruction books left behind by previous Flame Hashira in the Rengoku Family. As the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro is his generation's most skilled Flame Breathing user. He became evidently proficient in fighting with this Breathing Style. This technique allows Kyojuro to increase the amount of oxygen in his blood by controlling his breathing pattern, which increases his strength and agility to equal that of a demon. Kyojuro has learned to do full focus breaths at all times, further increasing his base strength, speed and stamina. By focusing his breathing on specific points, he is capable of stopping bleeding from injuries. There are at least a total of nine styles that can be used with the Breath of Flames, although Kyojuro only displays five of these.
First Form: Unknowing Fire: The user charges towards their target at high speeds and unleashes a singular slash that aims to decapitate them.
Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun: The user releases an arching sword slash upwards.
Third Form: Blazing Universe: The user swings their blade downwards in an arc.
Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation: The user swings their blade in a circular motion that is used to defend from incoming attacks or slash multiple targets in one swoop.
Fifth Form: Flame Tiger: The user performs a series of powerful sword slashes that seemingly takes the form of a flaming tiger.
Ninth Form: Rengoku: The most powerful Flame Breathing technique. The user takes a high stance with their sword before dashing forward at high speeds. The technique is powerful enough to completely carve out the ground in its wake. In the movie and anime adaptation, this technique seemingly took the form of a flaming Japanese dragon that envelopes the user as they are charging towards the target.
Phasing: Kyojuro can phase in and out of hawk form.
Regeneration: Kyojuro has a powerful regenerative healing factor. This allows him to heal at an abnormal rate, faster than any human being can. Small cuts and minor injuries heal within seconds while larger, more damaging injuries, such as broken bones, blood loss, and vampire venom infection seem to heal within minutes.
High Body Temperature: Shape-Shifters have a constant body temperature of about 110° degrees to withstand severe cold weather. This high body heat also allows them to survive in very hot weather, making it hard for their bodies to overheat. This high body temperature is very useful in combat, as it makes it extremely hard for vampires to harm them because they are extremely sensitive to heat. This temperature also prevents frequent illness, by killing any potential pathogens they come into contact with before they can become ill.
Natural Enhancements: Kyojuro has superhuman strength in both hawk and human form, though he is at his peak only while in hawk form. In hawk form, he possesses supernatural speed, capable of flying over 100 miles per hour. In human form he is notably faster than any human being, but still not nearly as fast as he is in his hawk form. In battle, he is very capable of handling his opponents. Kyojuro also has greater endurance than a human.
Talons: Kyojuro has powerful talons and is able to cut through solid walls. Je is also able to transform just his talons without transforming fully.
Enhanced Agility: Kyojuro possessees enhanced speed and agility, far greater than any human. This enables him to perform leaps across incredible heights and distances, and even scale vertical surfaces. His agility also allows him to easily and rapidly run, jump, sprint and climb.
Super Senses: Kyojuro possesses heightened, animal senses; akin to actual hawks, he is able to see with greater clarity than humans, even in darkness, and his senses of smell is also slightly enhanced. He is also an excellent tracker; being capable of using his sense of sight and smell to track targets.
Invulnerability: Kyojuro cannot be killed by most conventional means and weapons, however, certain supernatural weapons, as well as silver, can kill him. He can also be killed by methods decapitation, dismemberment, as well as certain supernatural beings.
Apparel & Accessories
Kyojuro wears the standard black Monster Hunter uniform, which consisted of a black button-up jacket with stand collar and long sleeeves, a white belt around his waist and tattsuke-hakama pants. Over this, he wears a haori with a white-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like ridges.
Specialized Equipment
Standard Nichirin Katana: Kyojuro carrys a standard sized and shaped Nichirin katana with a red flame-like pattern along with the words Destroyer of Demons engraved on the side of the blade. The hilt of the katana is also wrapped in a white leather. The handguard of Kyojuro's katana is shaped like a flame with a red core and orange border. He also carrys a standard sword sheath that was white and grey in color.

Mental Trauma
Ruka was the mother of both Senjuro and Kyojuro, and the wife of Shinjuro. Sometime after giving birth to Senjuro, she developed an untreatable disease and was left bedridden up until her death. Before she died, she instilled a moral code within Kyojuro to use his strength to help the weak. Even when her leasson sticks with him since today it still haunts and hurts him that she passed away when he was just a child, that this father became an alcoholic to drown his sorrows and pain and that his younger brother had to grow up most of his life without his mother, an alcoholic father and an older brother that is really at home.
