Ellisar Aelynn
Songstress Elllisar Aelynn
Ellisar Aelynn is the matriarch of House Aelynn, one of the Great Elven Houses of Elvenhome. She is one of the most powerful treesingers to have ever lived. Treesingers have the ability to communicate with plants through by humming and sharing a bit of their essence with them. They can also strengthen and prolong the lives of plants, especially the Elder trees of Elvenhome which are slightly sentient. It is the power of the tressingers that guides the trees to grow into homes and other shapes that the Ellasti are so reliant on.
Ellisar spends much of her time outside of the city, tending to the alder trees all over the Elven Lands. The rest of her house manages her affairs while she is out though none sit on the council. When in the city, Ellisar seems to have trouble connecting with other elves. It may be do to the fact that she spends so much time out in the forest be herself, or perhaps it is because Ellisar once left Elvenhome and has only returned out of a sense of duty.
Although most of the council sees Ellisar as an oddity, she is close friend with the King and he treats her as a little sister.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
Ellisar was born to a common house and had a simple but pleasant childhood. She always had a talent for music and that was cultivated as she grew. While she was very accomplished, she never obtained the level of artistry that would have brought her to the attention of any of the great houses, still she was content. She was one of the many bards that would pass along the songs, that taught the Elesti history and culture.
Her life changed when she one morning while singing she felt a connection to a plant that she had in her home. She instantly knew that the plant was diseased, and she was able to sing it back to health. None of her family had been known for having the talent for treesinging, so while she had heard of the talent she wasn't sure that was what she did. She kept the ability to herself and practiced using it. Once she was sure and could effectively control the power she told her parents. They brought her to House Arelynn, and the the current Songstor. He tested Ellisar and confirmed that she was indeed a treesinger, and a very powerful one. He invited her into house Aerlynn.
Over the following year, Ellisar learned dressing at such a rate the rest of the house was amazed. It came so naturally to her, she rarely had to work at learning anything. She developed strong ties with the trees of the wood and would spend much time all around the Elven LAnds strengthening them, curing ailments, and just enjoying being with nature. Unlike most treesingers she never learned druidic magic, but she didn't really have a need as her ability allowed he to do thing that mast druids did. She did work hard at her bardic talents as well.
One day while she was out near the edge of the forest, farther than she usually travelled alone, she was attacked by orcs and almost killed. They beat her and brought her out of the forest, and to their camp. She was rescued by a young man name Anders Anton. He had been travelling near the border of the forest looking for some rare herbs, and came across the camp. Seeing her dragged in by the orcs, he caused a diversion, and then grabbed Ellisar before they knew what had happened. When she awoke, she could not remember who she was or where she was from. Anton tried to take her back to her home, but the strong enchantments on the Elven wood kept turning him away. He finally decided to bring her home to his village.
During there time travelling, they became very fond of each other. Soon they fell in love and decided to make a life with each other. They had a son together, Finneal.
A couple of years after he was born, Ellisar started having strange dreams. She dreamt of a forest, and of elven celebrations, and of dying trees. Her memory was returning. The old Treesinger that she had learned from had passed to Arevendar, and now the elder trees were starting to die, so they were sending out for a new treesinger. This cause Ellisar's memory to start coming back, and she realized that without a tresinger, the great trees would die, as they had lived well past their normal lifespan. Not only would it be a tragedy to let such trees die, it would endanger all the Elesti, as their magic protections are tied to the elder trees. Ellisar had to make a very tough decision.
She knew the Elves would never accept Anders, or a half-elf child, and even if they somehow did, they would not be happy among the elves who would constantly look down on them. She also knew she had to return, as she knew how important she was to Elvenhome. She left her love and her son, vowing to come back and visit when she could. She returned to Elvenhome.
One of the thing she hadn't counted on was the way time moved in the elven city. Surrounded by the long lived elves, and the Great trees days passed without notice. Before she knew it years had gone by, and then she received word that Hornford, the small village where her son and Anders lived had ben destroyed by the Vemoraxx. Her family did not survive. She was devastated and filled with guilt that she had not yet gone back. That she wasn't ther eto help them.
She retreated into her work, and rarely returned to the city, preferring to stay with the trees of the great forest.
