House Elarie
House Elarie (ee-LAR-ee) is the highest of the great houses of Elvenhome. It is the Ruling house of the Ellasti King. It is not a large house, it dose not normally accept those that were not born into. It has no responsibility except providing leadership for the people of Elvenhome.
While there are people adopted into into the house, those that show a good head for diplomacy, and leadership, it has no main purposed that elves would seem out acceptance to it.
The fact that is is the highest of houses is mostly because the personal power of the house patriarch, King Sihnion Elarie. It was Sihnion that first organized the elves back when they first came to Nor, and he was the one that help the people get through the early days of being in a new place, with no knowledge of the world. It was he who led his people here to the Elven Lands, to build Elvenhome. Because of this his house is first among the great houses, a fact no lost on other house leaders.
Some elves say that the house's status should not longer be first, as their only value is in there leader. Those that hold this view are few though, as most of the elves have a great respect for the King and have no intention of allowing his house's status to wain. Also many recognize that Sinhion's dedication is to his people, and he has taught that to all members of his house, whether born into it, or adopted. He is making sure that his house always put the people first.
If there is a single thing the house is known for, it is Diplomacy. While Sinhion's personal power in incredible due to his vast age and all the years he spent perfecting his craft, his greatest asset is working out differences between the other houses, or even individual elves. Hi nurtures this skill in the member of his house, and they are often called upon to settle disputes between other elves.
It is unknown what will happen when Sinhion leaves this world. Whether he will chose an heir, and whether the other great houses will abide by that decision. Structure
House Elarie does not have a strong formal structure. If is very much like a family. The King is the head, but under him it is usually the eldest that have more influence over the younger elves.

House Elarie is interested in keeping the Elesti safe and prosperous until the day each of them can return to Arvendar.

History
When the Elves came to Nor from Arvendar, they had no knowledge of how to survive in a world like this one. Magic was not as readily available, and the climate was vastly different. The Elves who had come had been from all different walks of life, with different skills, and beliefs. They also never had to deal with the harsh reality of creatures, whose sole purpose was to kill them.
One elf took the lead and helped them through this time. He was rather unremarkable and pretty unknown back in Arvendar. However he was the one of them that kept calm, and decided that he would not let this new land beat them. He talked to each of them, and learned their skills, and set them to work on specific tasks. They were small job, but they were enough to give the elves purpose. With that, they were able to work towards a common goal. His name was Sihnion Elarie.
When they encountered their first hostile race, Orcs, it was Sihnion that recognized the danger, and organized a group to fight off the creatures. It was Sihnion, who spoke with such confidence and conviction that he convinced the them they could survive here. They built their first shelters and looks to him to lead.
Several years later, Sihnion, sure that there was much more to the world than they had seen, had convince the elves to leave their Home up North, and travel, looking for a place more like their old homeland of Arvandor. A place where the could find warm sun, and green trees. It was a difficult decision, as they had started to grow comfortable and safe and leaving would invite danger and uncertainty, The elven leader could not make any promises they would find a better place, but yet they followed him, and traveled around nor, for many years, until they finally found what is now known as the Elven Lands. There they built a great a city, and declared Shihnion their King. His house was the first Noble Elven House, and remains the highest to this day.
