King Sinhion Elarie

Sinhion Elarie was the ruler of Elvenhome, and King of the Estari. He was the Patriarch, of House Elarie, The First Great Nobel House of Elvenhome. He is one of the Oldest Elves alive, and is one of the very few Elder Elves who are originally from Arvendar and came to Nor. He is the first Elf to have ever held the title of Ellasti King.

Sinhion was beloved by most of the Elven People. He is thought to be the reason the Elves survived their first year on Nor, and in all the years he has rules the elves, he has always done some in a fair and honest way, putting the welfare of the lesti first.

Sinhion was a powerful warrior and the most powerful user of True Elven Magic, a fact that irritates Hargre Farsolar and has caused some animosity between the houses. The king used his power rarely though, as he does not wish to lessen House Farsolar's role in the City.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Sinhion is Ancient for an Elf on Nor, but is still rather fit.  As one of the Elder Elves, his body has aged much more slowly, and he would be the equivalent for a human in his early fifties.  While he is not as fast as he used to be, or as strong he is still a match from most elves physically, due to his training and his conditioning when he was younger.  He exercises regularly and is in good shape for an elf his age.

Facial Features

Sinhion has the look of a common Elesti.  While he is not unattractive, he does not have the enchanting look of some of the other nobel elves.

Special abilities

Sinhion can use True Elven Magic, drawing on the land around him to create magical effects.  When in Elvenhome his power is greatly increased.

Apparel & Accessories

Sinhion dresses for the occasion.  When acting as king, he will be attired in the best Elven Clothes in Royal Green and gold.  When going into battle he uses the finest Elven Plate.  When outside of his duties though, he dresses as a normal elf would, and has been mistaken for a commoner.

Specialized Equipment

Sinhion carries a Spirit Blade.  The first and most powerful ever created.

Personal history

Sinhion was born in Arvendar, the home plane of the Elves. Like all the Elves that were born before they came to Nor, the memory of his life in Arvendar is confusing, and jumbled together. From what can be pieced together, Sinhion was an unremarkable elf in their native lands.
When the Elves came to Nor from Arvendar, they had no knowledge of how to survive in a world like this one. The magic they were familiar with was not as readily available, and the climate was vastly different. Arvendar was tropical with abundant trees and vegetation. The region of nor they came to, high in the Icewall was frigid and harsh, with very little in the way of living things. It was a shock to the elves who had never had to deal with an environment like, not to mention being on their own with no help form a larger community, and the power of the Elven Lords who ruled their homeland, and had powerful magic at their command. They also never had to deal with the harsh reality of creatures, whose sole purpose was to kill them.

The Elves who had come, had been from all different walks of life, with different skills, and beliefs. They were not very familiar with each other and and how to work together. It was Sinhion who took the lead and helped them through this time. He was the one of them that kept calm, and decided that he would not let this new land beat them. He talked to each of them, and learned their skills, and set them to work on specific tasks. They were small jobs, but they were enough to give the elves purpose. With that, they were able to work towards a common goal.

When they encountered their first hostile race, Orcs, it was Sihnion that recognized the danger, and organized a group to fight off the creatures. It was during that battle that Sinhion felt a connection to something deep in Nor, and used that connection.  He was able to command the winds to push toward the Orcs, blinding them, allowing the elves to defeat them.  It was the first use of what is now called True Elven magic.  After the battle it was Sihnion, who spoke with such confidence and conviction that he convinced the them they could survive here. They built their first shelters and looked to him to lead.

Several years later, Sihnion, sure that there was much more to the world than they had seen, had convince the elves to leave their Home up North, and travel, looking for a place more like their old homeland of Arvandor. A place where the could find warm sun, and green trees. It was a difficult decision, as they had started to grow comfortable and safe and leaving would invite danger and uncertainty, The elven leader could not make any promises they would find a better place, but yet they followed him, and traveled around nor, for many years, until they finally found what is now known as the Elven Lands. There they built a great a city, and declared Shihnion their King. His house was the first Noble Elven House, and remains the highest to this day.

Sinhion has spent much time learning all he can about the world around him.  He studied the plants, and animals, and the other races that that lived on Nor.  We is extremely knowledgeable about many subjects.

Accomplishments & Achievements

In Sihion's long life he has accomplished more than any other Elf ever known. He is the most powerful True MAgic User, and one of the greatest swordsman to have ever held a blade.  He had ruled Elvenhome through many trying times, guiding elves who are very different in their thought and methods, into a single goal.  He is a master politician.   His greatest accomplishment was organizing the elves after they first came to Nor, and building a society here on this plane.

Sinhion is a Good and Moral person.  He believes in fairness and equality, but does put the lives under his care above the rest of those on Nor.  Sinhion would like to help everyone, but his elves come first in his mind.

Motivation

Sinhion wishes to keep the elves safe and to help guide them back to Arvander when their time comes.  Sinhion himself, however is not in any hurry to return himself.  He is not sure why he was exiled in the first place and is wary that he would not be allowed to return.
