The master of the house is known as the Shempi A'ra, or Archmage. He is rarely involved in the training of the student of the house though, as he is responsible for the Great Ward which protect the city of Elvenhome. He is also responsible for scrying on the outside world and keeping the elves informed of what is happening far form their borders. The Shempi A'Ra is chosen based on their ability to use True Elven Magic. A Shempi Ra, regardless of skill, can only rise to Archmage if they have the gift of True Elven Magic.
The Training of new mages is done by the Shempi Ra, the Mages. They teach the Shempi, (Mages) in magic and look for student who may have the gift of True Elven Magic. House Farsolar has one of the largest compounds in the city, and is considered the second most powerful House in the Kingdom.

Culture
The Elves of House Farsolar are dedicated to the study of Magic. The view of the house leaders is that magic is the most power force in the world, and those that can master it are a step above other. Many of the mages of the house buy into that, and feel they deserve to be treated with more expect then elves with no magical ability.
The Shempi study hard and must have a certain degree of discipline to master the skills of magic. Due to this, they tend to be more serious then other elves. Shempi who tend to lose control of themselves are often reprimanded by their masters.

History
Harge Farsolar, was the first elf beside the King to master the use of True Elven Magic. While Sinhion had other matters to deal with during the early days of the Elves Exile, Hagre devoted his time to the study of magic. When the first Great Houses were chosen, Hagre's mastery over magic, and his ability to create powerful ward to protec tthe city made him and his house a natural choice. Ove the the years House Farsolar has been very aggressive in recruiting all powerful mges, and any Elves that have the ability to use True Elven Magic. In fact it is almost an unwritten law that all who have the power are brought to Farsolar to train in it. The gift is rare enough that there is an obligation for any who can use it, to learn to harness it. House Farsalor in in charge of that training.
