Humans

Human comprise the majority of the population of the Known World. They can be found almost everywhere, though a few non-Human nations prohibit (or heavily discourage) humans from visiting or settling in their territories.
One of the more unusual features of the human race is their ability to procreate with two other intelligent races: Elves and Orcs. The half-elves and half-orcs typically share characteristics of both races. However, they can only procreate with humans and members of their non-human progenitor races.
Some modern human scholars have suggested that this ability to procreate with elves and orcs is evidence that the humans race is older than the other two, and that elves and orcs are off-shoots of humanity. Elvish scholars are unanimous in this refutation of this belief. The orcs do not appear to have noticed the controversy.
