Sara Olsen

Sara Olsen has been the party leader of the Founders for 10 years since 2340. She's the leader that lastly made the Founders Norden's largest faction and lead them to victory year 2345. Sara's particularly appreciated for being firm, truthful and loyal by her faction and supporters.

Sara was born into an all deaf family in 2313 but oddly enough, she could hear. Her family was stunned by the fact and unsure about how they were supposed to raise her. So they made a call. Sara would be raised just as her siblings, as if she was deaf. The Olsen family were very attached to the deaf community and culture. They had no hearing family friends or relatives and exclusively found themselves in deaf company. Sara went to the Birgitta School in St. Karolin, which was known to be one of the best school's in the country. Not once, during her ten years in elementary school she would speak or even turn her head at sounds. All to fit in and be treated equally as the actual deaf. Not even to her family, Sara would admit that she occasionally would listen to music or watch sound movies when she was home alone. The only one Sara felt safe hearing with was Luca Russo. Luca was Saras best mate all through out her teenage years. They grew up on the same street, where the Russo family was the only hearing one. The Russo's was a frequent topic of discussion by the deaf families on the street. How come a hearing family would decide to live in the most deaf populated part of town? And are we really sure that the Russo's don't have any mal intentions? I mean who knows how they might talk about us to hearers. Needless to say, Sara and Lucas friendship was another secret kept from the Olsen family and friends.

When Sara turned 18, she got involved in politics. The Founders had in their 17 years as a faction grown to become the third largest party in Norden. Sara's parents were big supporters and so was she. She could not for the life of her understand how hearers would want their own schools and community, when both hearers and deaf had lived together peacefully for 200 years. Obviously, deaf wouldn't be able to adjust for hearers, so why wouldn't hearers keep adjusting for the deaf to maintain the strong community Norden had created. Sara rapidly grew within the party from a regular member to arrange meeting's and rallies to earn her first ministerial post as Education minister. After the election loss in 2340, Sara earned the trust to take on the role of being the party leader of the Founders. Five years later, she took the party to victory and served her first five years as president.
