Archbishop Mikaeus Orzhov IX

Archbishop Mikaeus Orzhov IX is the current ruler of Asteros and head of the Church of Torm the Loyal Fury. He is an aged human man in his early seventies with a balding head but long white beard. He is a man set in his ways, believing that any who do not share his religion's views have "lost their way" and that it is his duty to guide them to the right path. When faced with the threat of invasion from Niflheim the king of Seiros proposed an alliance of the western continent's four nations, Mikaeus countered the proposal with having both Seiros and Grymoire return to being part of Asteros - thus uniting their forces under one banner. This idea was quickly turned down, the representative of Grymoire's council pointing out that this would simply be trading one form of "foreign rule" for another. With his proposal turned down Mikaeus begrudgingly agreed to the alliance - recognizing that none of their nations alone could oppose Niflheim. In the years following the invasion he has maintained Asteros' role in the alliance, knowing that Niflheim may very well attempt another invasion. He has also repeated his proposal of "reunifying" Asteros, Seiros and Grymoire as one nation multiple times. As he grows older and older he has also been preparing his oldest son, Mikaeus Orzhov X, to assume the role of Archbishop upon his passing.
