Asteros

The nation of Asteros along with Moria are the oldest nations of the Western Continent - both Seiros and Grymoire having split from Asteros during the aftermath of the Dragon War. The people of Asteros still resent this to the modern day, though relations have improved in the wake of the alliance to stand against Niflheim. The nation is governed by a Theocracy, the head of which is Archbishop Mikaeus Orzhov IX - a man in is late seventies and a traditionalist. Though he is of the belief that the nations of Seiros and Grymoire "lost their way" when they split from Asteros, he recognizes that he is no position to reclaim them and the necessity of their alliance.
