The Circle Of Elements

The Circle Of Elements refers to an academic network divided into eight distinct college campuses -- one for each element in this world: Air, Chaos, Feorth, Fire, Light, Shadow, Potential, and Water. They are individual institutions, but under the umbrella of the Circle Of Elements that oversees the training, manages admission and change requests, disciplines teachers and students, and helps out during staff shortages.
The Circle was created in 1945 after the War of Elements when common opinion shifted from excluding sorcerers from society to integrating them with fixed rules and regulations, and putting effort into training them and allowing them to control their powers. Suppressing these strong elemental forces combined with frustration at social exclusion is bound to lead to problems sooner rather than later and those bursts of violence are hard to contain in society. Instead, the Circle Of Elements advocates a constant integration of sorcerers after their education and making use of the resulting guardians, fighters, and healers.
Each campus represents the element they specialise in, and while there is some cohesion, they stand individually for the most part.

Structure

The Circle Of Elements is an over-arching academy that has multiple campuses. The academy is ruled by an elected council with representants from each campus, including the dean of each campus, their vice representative, and two elected staff members per campus. Then each campus has a total of ten members on a board that take care of administrative decisions on campus.

Integrate sorcerers in society instead of excluding them, or they will leave behind nothing but burnt soil.
