Rhysand Blackwood
(a.k.a. Rhys)
Overview
Rhysand "Rhys" Blackwood is the eldest child of Arion Blackwood and Liriel Blackwood and the heir of House Blackwood. He is an avid student of carpentry and is an excellent craftsmen in his own right. As his father leads the family through a changing era of Novus, Rhys has been encouraging his father to experiment the the notion of beginning logging compounds in the Outer Wilds. This plan has been denied thus far.
Rhys is a hunter and explorer, frequently going on expeditions into the wilds for pleasure and exploration. While he also learned to fight, he quickly became outmatched as a sparring partner by his brother Dorian Blackwood.
While Rhys is a man of conviction, he is warmer than his brother and took special care to train Feyre Blackwood in sword fighting.
Marriage and Family
In 311 PF, Rhysand married Elsinor Blackwood (neé Sinclair), a commoner who worked with logging industry in the Jade Ring. Rhys renounced claim to the Blackwood line to do so-- having a distaste for the politics that nobility brought with it. Rhysand was content to live a life as a carpenter and woodworker with his love. Together they have two children: Lia Blackwood and Del Blackwood.
