Session 6 Report - The Commander
General Summary
Feyre Blackwood, Gunn, and Dac Earreac discussed how to handle the ongoing situation with Nance and Kara Towers. Gunn suggested that perhaps they could leverage the invitation to make a case for Nance's release. Feyre thought that it was a good idea, and suggested that the group learn all they could about Constable Inspector Towers before entering into the situation.
Feyre went to her place of work, a tavern called The Liger and the Titanium Peak, speaking with her boss Crota Vivax about Towers. Between him and the help of some off duty Brass Spears Constables -- Rome Azaz and Snow on White Wind, Feyre learned that Kara Towers has been working tirelessly on a case and that Kara is a member of House Towers, an influential political family in Novus.
Meanwhile, Dac met up with Qirrif Torekki who revealed that Nance is being help on charges of vandalism , which could escalate to charges of terrorism, for the events that happened on the Novus Rail Transit System. Knowing that he was responsible for this in actuality, Dac was apprehensive about going to Hewnholm Tower. Still Qir said he could try to pull some strings to get Dac and his friends a visitation to Nance.
After reuniting, the group made their way to Hewnholm Tower the Constabulary Station of the Dust District. Gunn and Dac waited outside, as Feyre went in. Feyre was soon ushered to Inspector Tower's office, where Rayla Moonshadow and Winnow Olafson were already waiting to finish their reports. Kara explained to them that she believes that they can be of assistance to her ongoing investigation.
After some skillful manipulation and deception, Feyre, Rayla, and Winnow were able to coordinate their stories as to not incriminate Dac, and hopefully vouch for Nance, while being compliant with the investigation. They notably held back the Gearforged head that they discovered.
Soon after, they were greeted (coldly) by Constable Commander Ogma Horne, who took an interrogating stance towards both Kara Towers and the group, but thanks to their manipulations, their answers seemed satisfy the commander.
She seemed amenable to a compromise, when suddenly alarm bells began to blare all around the station, sending the constables scrambling.
Outside, Dac and Gunn watched as a mound of dirt burst forth from the ground, revealing a number giant insects skittering out.
