    Carlisa Discusses:

    Personality and Reputation Building:

When you interact with a NPC, espcially one with a story or side story questline, you may find yours presented with dialog options. These will look like these:
  • [O1] *insert options 1 text*
  • [O2] *insert options 2 text*
  • [O3]*insert options 3 text*
  •   It is important to remember that you will only be able to select one of these options, so read them carefully before selecting as you wont be able to change your choice once you have made it.
  • Once you have made your choice, it will apply a personality trait point to you.
  • As your personality grows, you may find that NPC's start to treat you differently, some might have all new dialog for you, or some of the NPC's who didn't talk to you before might now have dialog for you, or some might decide not to talk to you at all anymore.
  • Also keep in mind that everytime you complete a quest or profession task, you gain or loss reputation points.
  • For example, some NPC's will require you to have a high reputation in one area but a low rep in another.
  • Some NPC's will tell you what you require, and some will want you to find things out the hard way.
  • As you move through the world interacting with all the different NPC's and completing all the different quests, you may find that your experience if very different to those of other players. The dialog or quests you get from a NPC could be very different to those recieved by another player.
  • When it comes to any really big choices, you will get an chance to change your mind before it is made final.
  • You will also be presented with other opportunities to re-think or change your previous big choices. However, outside of any really big choices, you will have to live with your first choice.
  • But don't let that concern you, there are no right or wrong answers. Just pick the choices that feel right to you or that you think will go with the personality you are wanting to build for yourself.
