Ager finally unlocks the Kala Arch, and steps through the portal into a land far to the north of the Steadfast. Far past even the Cloudcrystal Skyfields, Ager finds himself in a land both like and unlike the Steadfast.
After years of fruitless searching, eventually Ager found a way to open the portal he had found years ago. Upon traveling through, he found himself in a land far to the north of the Steadfast. Ager spent the next few days exploring, looking for a town or any kind of settlement. On the 7th day, Ager found a small village. What he found there surprised him. They were people, very much like the folks he would have found at any of the aldeia back in the Steadfast. They spoke a language close enough to the Truth that he was able to make himself understood fairly easily. While the aldeia had their own language, apparently they shared a common language for trade just as the villages and towns of the Steadfast do. What was more interesting to Ager was what was different. He learned that the region was named Calda, and it encompased an area larger than the Steadfast. The entire area was ruled by the Queen of the Sable Hegemony, and about a days ride to the East was a city with a terminal of the Singhan Roots. Not wanting to expose himself as someone from elsewhere in the world, Ager said little but watched closely. He stayed in the village for a few days before returning to the portal, and then returning home. Ager knew that he had found something amazing, and had plans to explore all that Calda had to offer.
