Accomplishments & Achievements
Ysolt was described as a genius from a very young age, with her tutors exclaiming that her talents will "...surely advance us all, whether she chooses the academic path or that of finances.". Her gifts became apparent early, when at the age of five she corrected, mentally and without fault in her calculations, an error her father had made on paper while calculating finances.
In 1540, she travelled to CCOS to have her abilities studied by MIT 's dean of mathematics Argimiro Ciampi. Ciampi tested her performance at several tasks, including the calculation of large numbers. Examples of the problems presented to Ysolt included calculating the cube root of 61,629,875 and the seventh root of 170,859,375. Ciampi reported that Ysolt provided the solution to the above mentioned problems (395 and 15, respectively) before Ciampi could copy them down in his parchment. note
