Dwarves
Dwarves are a short and hardy people, with an affinity for mining and craftsmanship. Their are many different variants of dwarves from all over the world. In general, dwarves prefer to live underground, building their cities in the sides of mountains or under the earth.
Dwarves mature at the same rate as humans, and once they reach adulthood their aging slows. They can live to be up to 200 years old.
Redcragg Dwarves
The dwarves of Redcragg are known for being master smiths. Their home citadel in the volcano Rudgall is filled with powerful forges, and they produce some of the most well-made weapons and armour in the world. The Redcragg dwarves are known for their long, braided beards and typically fair skin. They are short and sturdy, and due to their environment are used to cold weather and the hardships that come with it.Underhall Dwarves
The dwarves of Underhall live in an underground city in the Golden Peaks. Many years they lost much of their city and their undermountain roads to the cataclysm of Mortuem. The dwarves of underhall are renowned for their golemancy and are famous for their worship of the two-headed dragon Diadron.Naldun Dwarves
The dwarves of Naldun live in a vastly different environment to their northern cousins. The hot and arid climate of Naldun means that the dwarves who hail from here tend to keep their hair and beards trimmed short, though often they will have long and fancifully decorated moustaches, braided with colo8ured beads and lengths of cord or ribbon. While the Naldun dwarves are still renowned smiths, they are most famous for their boat making and sailing. Since the majority of their cities reside on the coast, they have used their innate ability for craftsmenship to perfect their cultures ship building techniques and now build the strongest and usually fastest ships that can be found around the Verta Ocean.Game Statistics (3.5e)

- Size: Medium.
- Speed: 20 ft. Dwarves can move at this speed even when wearing medium or heavy armor or when carrying a medium or heavy load.

- Stonecunning: This ability grants a dwarf a +2 racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like. Something that isn’t stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. A dwarf who merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework can make a Search check as if he were actively searching, and a dwarf can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can. A dwarf can also intuit depth, sensing his approximate depth underground as naturally as a human can sense which way is up. Dwarves have a sixth sense about stonework, an innate ability that they get plenty of opportunity to practice and hone in their underground homes.
- Weapon Familiarity: Dwarves treat dwarven waraxes and dwarven urgroshes as martial weapons, rather than exotic weapons.
