The Tome of Ash
Written in 1882, this manuscript compiles several stories about the Exotic God Pantheon.
- Kher-heb D'thau; Goddess of Magic, Matron of Power, The Mad Goddess. Said to bear the burden of a million minds, Kher-heb D'thau has devised a multitude of methods to alleviate her insanity. Magic is said to be an extension of her will, or at least her understanding. Witches making pacts with the Mad Goddess are able to tap into the power of an Exotic God and manipulate the world around them. No ritual is perfect, however, and the Mad Goddess is fickle. Falling from her favor could be catastrophic for a witch.
- Erupatem; the Great Mind, the Father of Souls, the God of Psyhics. Erupatem is the twin brother of Kher-heb D'thau and has bestowed his powers and minds among mortal man. He is connected to everyone and those who open their minds to him gain the power to hear and see into the thoughts of others. Erupatem and Kher-heb D'thau care very little for mortals, but they hate each other and will use mankind as pawns in their bid to be rid of each other once and for all.
- Hauthet; the Serpent, the Spiral, the River. Little is known about Hauthet and she appears to be a relatively new Exotic Goddess, dating back to 1801. Just after the Louisiana Purchase, record of her existence was unearthed in America, though sources vary on this detail.
- Heth; the Croaking God, the Swamp Lord, the Man in Many Places. Heth is the twin brother of Hauthet. He has many forms and cropped up in various mythologies under other names. He is thought to be a shapeshifter with the power of bilocation.
- J’kwey-Fasakh; the Dead God, the Sleeper in the Ice. J'kwey-Fasakh is believed to be the inspiration behind the leviathan. The beast is a serpent-like being with several tendrils and a mouth wide enough to swallow a boat. Little is known about it, but it is said to have the power to control a person's thoughts and dreams.
- Ahmenoth; Pharaoh of Phages, Pestilence. Worshiped by The Sufferers, this Exotic God of agony delights in the destruction and break down of the clean and good. Ahmenoth's presence has been felt all over the world, but the most well-known display of the Pharaoh of Phages' power was the Black Death that ravaged Europe in the middle ages.
