Drift - Cabin Boy

Drift is the official cabin boy, a lanky halfing teenager with dark brown hair that’s perpetually tousled from the sea breeze. His sharp, curious eyes are the color of storm clouds, always darting around, taking in the hustle and bustle of the ship’s daily life.
Drift’s journey to becoming a cabin boy began with a rough start. Orphaned at a young age, he grew up in the bustling port city of the Ivory Walls City, scraping by on the streets through a combination of quick wits and nimble fingers. He survived by running small errands for sailors, delivering messages, and occasionally picking a pocket or two when times were desperate. It was during one of these scrapes with the law that he first encountered Captain Thandor Wildmane. Impressed by the boy’s nerve and quick thinking, the captain offered him a choice: continue down his current path or come aboard and earn an honest living.
Despite his rough upbringing, Drift has proven to be eager and hardworking, if a bit reckless at times. His youthful energy and determination to prove himself are evident in everything he does, whether it’s scrubbing the deck, climbing the rigging, or delivering messages to the crew. He idolizes the more experienced sailors and is constantly seeking to learn from them, hoping one day to be more than just a cabin boy. 
Drift’s personality is a mix of youthful bravado and genuine warmth. He’s quick with a grin and has a knack for lightening the mood with a well-timed joke or playful tease. Beneath his light-hearted demeanor, however, lies a fierce loyalty to the crew and a burning desire to belong. Having found a family within the crew, he’s determined to do whatever it takes to prove himself worthy of the captain’s trust and the crew’s respect. While he’s still learning the ropes (and often gets into trouble for his curiosity), Drift is a resilient and resourceful young man who’s beginning to find his place in the world.
