My dear Selene,
I am writing to you so as to organize my thoughts in a coherent and possibly persuading way, but do not rejoice: I am neither afraid, nor impressed by your last endeavours; quite the contrary, I was not pleased by your people's pathetic attempts at fighting my own. We are now enemies, that is true, but you
must remember that we have not always been. We were the closest, until the Abyss wedged between us: we have different opinions on the matter at hand, that is also true, but I still think we can find common ground. We have a common enemy, Selene: let's cast aside our divergence and focus on fighting back the Abyss. The
Wayfarers are weakened, they will not be able to help as again, should another large scale abyssal invasion take place.
I am offering you my last token of friendship: accept it in the name of our past, renounce to your lunade, and fight with us against the Abyss. While you were busy issuing orders to your adepts, I have gathered the old world knowledge, all of it, back to what might as well be the
cycle of the ages beginning: therefore, I have a plan.
I know that, in the end, we will fight again, and I will accept it, but until then, please make a wiser choice: wasting both your and mine resources fighting among us before time is a receipt for disaster, and only makes us weaker against the Abyss. I am begging you from a position of strength: you saw what a defeat it was for your faithfully army your last campaign. Please, do reconsider.
Yours,
Canopus
