Bigtide

Bigtide is a large town on the northern Baranian coast. It is ruled by a man named Oleg Tarfeet, who is the father of King Sigurd the Black of Derna. Bigtide's economy relies heavily on piracy, with groups of vikings making seasonal excursions into neighboring areas. A fragile peace and sense of cooperation exists between Bigtide and Derna due mainly to the familial relationship between their respective leaders. Recently, some precious gemstones were discovered in the mountains west of the city leading to an influx of miners seeking their fortune in the surrounding wilderness.
