Darkhold Pantheon

Like the Faerie pantheon, the Darkhold is a collective of multiple pantheons in a loose collection whose goal is to increase their power by destroying the other gods and their devotees. The Darkhold consists primarily of the Orcish pantheon, led by Gruumsh, the Goblinoid pantheon led by Maglubiyet, the giant pantheon led by Thrym, Generally, the Darkhold gods are individually weaker than the powerful gods of other pantheons, but that has forced them to band together into a large group and plant large populations of their corrupt and evil followers. Not content with limiting themselves to their own created populations, members of the Darkhold have unceasingly plotted to win converts, sometimes successfully, from the human, dwarf, and elf populations. Once the Darkhold learned of the existence of Nyverden, they raced to populate as much of the world as possible, wishing to subvert the entirety of the world to evil forces and black magic that would increase their powers within the pantheons of gods. Arriving after the pantheons of Faerie, Norse and Greek however, they managed to plant only a budding population on the continent of Ankomst and in western Apenrike. Knowing that the human, elf and dwarf populations would never allow their followers to multiply, they chose to establish their followers in the far eastern reaches of Apenrike and on the southern continent of Ondeland. There the evil followers of the Darkhold would be free to grow in strength and in numbers before taking on the followers of human and Faerie pantheons.
