Faerie Pantheon
The Faerie pantheon, a collection of non-human gods that consists of multiple pantheons led respectively by Corellon Larethian the Elf god, Moradin the dwarf god, Garl Glittergold the gnome god, Yondalla the halfling god exists as a counter to the Darkhold. It is a unification of the Elven pantheon (the Seldarine), the dwarven pantheon (the Morndinsamman), the Halfling pantheon (Yondalla's Children), and the gnomish pantheon (the Lords of the Golden Hills). The members of this group are among the oldest beings in creation and have existed since the Beginning, when the Great Creator first made divine beings. They have been at war with the Darkhold since time immemorial. Other gods have been known to interact or even side with this pantheon periodically and its followers will sometimes worship the god of other pantheons if it suits their needs; of these the relationship with Frey of the Norse pantheon and the Elves is most notable. The Faerie pantheon established followers in the mountainous and the deeply wooded areas of southern Apenrike, in the area of what is today the great elven kingdom of Darthorian. Corellon Larethian wanted his people to spread across from this newly established homeland and so made a group of elves that were extremely capable shipwrights and mariners and asked his friend the god Frey to provide them with ships that they might cross the oceans. Frey provided this select group of elves with white ships that could sail without wind. Corellon now tasked these elves with disbursing groups of elves and dwarves willing to undertake the voyage. Following the prevailing winds, two groups headed west and founded the younger kingdoms of Vestlegion and Sylarbor. The elves and dwarves, while not initially cooperative, established mutually beneficial relationships through trade and services after Moradin also desired his progeny to spread throughout the new world. The dwarves built great fortresses for the elves and in return were ferried across the oceans, founding the kingdoms of Rikhem on the Hesterherre peninsula, Melheim in southern Ankomst and Skuffhimmel in the north. The mariner elves declined to return to their homeland of Darthorian and instead founded the sea elf kingdom of Elopion on an archipelago in the middle of the Disparate Sea. The elves and dwarves were therefore well established on the continents of Apenrike and Ankomst before men were ever planted by the other pantheons. However, owing to their low reproduction rate, their populations were quickly outpaced by the shorter-lived but rapidly reproducing humans of Ankomst. The gods of gnomes and halflings, Garl Glittergold and Yondalla respectively, contributed but little to the population of Nyverden, establishing only one or two small pockets of their peoples. Early in the history of the world, a segment of elven and dwarven populations were seduced by members of the darkhold pantheon who led them in rebellion against the established kingdoms. The turncoats were defeated and banished, after which they headed north in the unknown, taking up residence somewhere in the northern reaches of the World’s Roof Mountains.
