Halfway Inn

Referred to with a wink and nod, the Halfway Inn is a semi-independent settlement on the Coast Road, at the halfway point between Vilion and Harstad. Founded by an enterprising innkeeper many generations ago, the inn has grown over the years, to the point where it now offers dozens of private rooms, multiple common rooms, a bar and restaurant, a stable for horses, and a widely-known brothel.  A small commnity has grown up around the inn that caters to travelers on the Coastal Way: wagon repairmen, armorers, blacksmith, coopers, and a number of middle men looking to buy, sell, and exchange wares. The current proprietor is Lady Gildebrandt, the widow of Karl Yellowhair, and mother of several of his many sons. She runs the inn, and by extension the settlement, with the help of her grown sons.
