Isfelt

Isfelt is a gem of a city straddling the headwaters of the Modervand River, deep in the World's Roof Mountains.  The majority of the buildings are of gleaming white granite, cut from cliffs further up the river valley.  Elves in Isfelt live a very communal life, relying on the gardens of wild roots and herbs that they maintain along the steep slopes of the mountains.   The city is approachable along the northern side of the river, but to get to the heart of the city, and its most breathtaking towers, a traveller has to cross the Modervand bridge, a sturdy stone bridge desgined to handle the spring run-offs that turn the Modervand into a churning white water every year when the snows melt.  The towers on the south side of the river are completely surrounded by water falls cascading out of the mountains and are only approachable by the bridge over the river.   Isfelt is famous for its fine garments and cloth, made from the silk of worms living along the upper Modervand River and its tributaries, as well as the products made from the fragrant flowers and plants lining the mountain valleys.
