Kallevalla

Kallevalla is the the second city of Skuffhimmel with a population rivaling any drawrven city in Nyverden.  While not the seat of the king, it is larger than Olhall, in terms of the number of residents and in terms of sheer space it occupies under its mountain, the Kalleberg.  The dwarves of the city have delved deeply into the Kalleberg, finding large veins of silver and enormous natural caverns that produce huge fields of a bioluminescent mushroom that feeds on the mineral deposits within the rock.  The mushrooms grow to over three feet in length and are crowned with caps that can weigh as much as ten pounds.  The dwarves eat them like steaks but have had little luck presesrving them well enough to be useful as as trade item withthe outside world.   Kallevalla is reknowned for its dwarven artisans and toolmakers, and engages in a great deal of trade with the mannish kingdom of Norgaard, sending caravans west on the Dwarf Road as far as the markets of Rivermeet.  While the veins of silver have grown somewhat scarce in the moutains, the craftsmen have remained making Kallevalla one of the richest cities in the Northern Kingdoms.
