Kishpa
Kishpa is a small gnomish kingdom in the World's Roof Mountains, just west of the dwarvish kingdom of Fellhem, and northwest of the Elvish kingdom of Darthorion. Kishpa is little more than a collection of warrens, most within the same large mountain valley with very few, and very spartan surface buildings. The gnomes of Kishpa are family-centric, with each of the major families holding sway over one of the larger warrens in the valley of Kishpa. The king of Kishpa is the head of the family who has secured the support of the other major familes. As fortunes are found in the mountain, and lost on the roads, or in games of chance, so too dies the status of the leading familes. The kingship of Kishpa changes fairly regularly as a result. The change of power rarely results in bloodshed, but the gnomes of Kishpa do plot and scheme against one another in a constant bid to get one's own family to the pinnacle of power within the kingdom.
Kishpa's residents are known for their skills with illusory magic and the working of gems and glass, as well as complicated or intricate machinery.
Lately, residents of Kishpa have been subjected to the predation of slavers from Tashibar stealing gnomish slaves to work in their kitchens and laboratories. The necromancers of Set have shown a particular interest in gnomes skilled in illusionist magic.
