Loki's Night

Loki's night occurs when both Nattlys and Morklys are new, and do not shine at all.  Nights like this are exceptionally dark in Nyverden and are referred to by the Norse as Loki's night.  It is a night for mischief and death.  Families generally stay in their homes, as they believe that the dark bring out foul beasts and awakens evil spirits.
