Riverbend

Riverbend sits on the south bank of the Cinnamon River along the Dwarf Road, a long day's journey east of Norgaard Keep. It serves as a crossing point, and staging point for military expeditions into the Wastes, and is an important supplier of livestock and game meats for both Norgaard Keep and the Dwarvish cities in Skuffhimmel. Riverbend is ruled by Jarl Ranwulf Greycloak who owes fealty to the Kriggsherre of Norgaard Keep, and collects taxes along the Dwarf Road. He is the cousin of Erik the Arrow, Jarl of Tankvara, and has family connections within the court of the Keep as well. It is no secret that Greycloak aspires to hold the title of Kriggsherre and seeks to influence the military council of the Norgaard Keep. Although taxed by the Jarl for travelling, merchants and caravans on the Dwarf Road do enjoy the protection of the Jarl's patrols along the Dwarf Road, from Riverbend to the gates of Tankvara.
