Seeker’s Market, although not technically a part of Miriador, is generally accepted to fall within the protective boundaries of the kingdom. Miriadorian forces rarely if ever travel west of the Belting River, and the forces of Sylarbor rarely if ever come south of the Rambling Gap, making the location an ideal spot for those who wish to remain outside the jurisdiction of authority. Seeker’s market was established originally as a wayspot for travelers on the Coast Road, but has over the years developed to take on a much larger role than a simple re-supply point. It is widely renowned as a market for contraband goods, illegal magic, stolen wares, and items of the fey and the darkhold. There is no Jarl, but the market is run by Wallson, the Marketmaster, who is just the wealthiest, most influential merchant of the lot. Within this open black market, there are many illicit items for sale, some of the most prized are things taken illegally from the Elvish Wood. Hunters find small fey creatures and harvest their body parts for spell components, potion ingredients, lucky charms and talismans, and other uses. Poachers in the Elfin Wood face the wrath of the elves of Sylabor if caught.
