Temple to Thrud

The temple to Thrud marks the location that the goddess Thrud was seen leading the Valkyries in battle against the force of Barania in the year 483 CE.  Here the dawrvish order of Silverbeards crashed into the Baranian lines just as the forces of Miriador saw the Thrud and Valkyries desecnd from the sky to join the battle.  This turned the tide of the battlle, and of the war.  The temple to Thrud was erected as a tribute to the goddess who saved the kingdom.  Just to the northeast of the temple, lie the Dwarf Cairns, a cemetary and shrine for the fallen Silverbeards who contriubted to the defeat of Barania.
